Mold Production Technician
In this position you will be responsible for mixing liquid materials, pouring into and removing product from molds. In addition you will also be responsible maintaining product specifications by weighing and inspecting pieces for defects. The ideal candidate is punctual, motivated, and organized with a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities will include:
In-process mold and parts inspection
Priming and properly handling metal inserts
New mold setup
Independent one-of-a-kind parts casting
Making prototypes and out of production requests for SHRED activities
Instructing level 1 technicians
Candidates for the position must possess the following:
1 year experience with basic shop tools or technical training
Basic knowledge of hardware
Able to operate digital scales
Previous experience in an ISO environment would be an asset
Able to follow directions
Assist in minimizing waste and meeting production deadlines
Journeyman CNC Machinist
The purpose of this position is to oversee all machining operational aspects to ensure products are manufactured in a timely cost effective manner in accordance with established company procedures.
Main Position Responsibilities
Program CNC machines in accordance with product specifications.
Apply troubleshooting CNC software issues to ensure production targets are met.
Manufacture of parts in accordance with specifications.
Trimming and splitting of seals to specifications.
Manufacturing of braided packing kits.
Complete in process inspections and final inspections.
Routine daily maintenance of machines and equipment.
Education & Experience:
Journeyman Machinist Certification is essential for this position. Preference will be given to machinist who has worked in an ISO 9001 environment with tool making, fabrication, and plastic/seal machining experience.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
Familiarity with mills, manual lathes and CNC lathes.
Efficient with all types of measuring instruments.
Proficient in Gibbs Cam
Able to manually program CNC with FANUC controls
Able to use manual Mills & Lathes
Advanced mathematical skills, Good communication skills, and strong problem solving.
Effective organizational/leadership skills.
Knowledge of CAD/CAM manufacturing
Work with limited supervision in a team environment
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
Tool and Die experience
Ensures strict compliance by self, team members and contractors with all LOTO and Hot Work procedures.
Execute preventative maintenance and preventative maintenance inspections as per the prescribed schedule and as appropriate to level and training.
Executes repairs or coordinates external trades executing repairs.
Maintain and update all required records through CMMS.
Controls consumables and parts inventory through kanban adherence and communication with Supervisor.
Receives parts and consumables from vendors.
Community college level “Industrial Maintenance” Certificate or equivalent (M Class).
Satisfactory aptitude score on standard testing and commitment to undertake prescribed training (L Class).
Literacy / numeracy at High School level.
LOTO Assessment training.
Fitness level appropriate to manual labour.
Self motivated, able to execute standard tasks with minimal supervision.
Ability to reliably execute direction.
Industrial Maintenance role.
Practical experience in a production / industrial environment
Small tools and equipment.
